Professional Experience

Pearson Education

Executive Sales Specialist (23-Present)

In my return to Pearson, I joined the Growth Initiatives ESS team. Our role has continued to develop and grow during my time here, and I have been heavily involved with helping that definition. I am always seeking new ways to achieve successfully exceed my sales targets, and dedicate time to share tools and strategies that are working with my peers. This role has reiterated the importance of communication and cross-collaboration to drive the success of an organization as a whole.

Freedom Learning Group

Business Development Manager (22-23)

As part of a start-up Instructional Design company with an incredible mission to create opportunities for military spouses, I learned resilience in overcoming obstacles both externally & internally, and worked with our team to define standard processes as we took on new projects. I developed concise pitches to resonate with potential customers quickly and used open-ended questions to listen for opportunities to bring value.

Cengage Group

District Sales Manager (21-22)

My Sales Leadership experience was one of the most rewarding roles I have had thus far. I learned to develop district strategies, SOPs, define employee expectations, and set attainable sales targets through forecasting. More importantly, I hired, coached, and supported an incredible team of talented salespeople. I learned how to deliver feedback in ways that were effective for different personalities, and helped each individual take steps towards their future professional goals.

Co-Chair Cengage Pride ERG (20-22)

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, it was an honor to be an early member and Co-chair of the Pride ERG at Cengage Group. We rapidly grew membership to over 330 members and helped create a sense of community even during the pandemic. Together we helped Cengage Group earn 100% on the HRC Corporate Equality Index for two consecutive years.

Enterprise Digital Specialist (17-21)

Working directly with C-Suite customers in the Enterprise Education space, I learned to uncover customer needs & priorities better to align my presentation as a solution to their needs. Through my sales calls, I partnered with customers and built a vision for future partnerships, netting additional revenue growth. I was recognized as Enterprise Digital Specialist of the Year in both 2017 & 2021 for outstanding sales performance, and was a diamond performer 5 consecutive years.

Pearson Education

Account Executive (15-17)

Transitioning into Sales from Higher Education, I quickly realized the value of my background experience and how impactful I could become through accountability, action, and presence. I developed sales skills by knocking on doors, listening to customer needs, and showing up for myself and customers daily.

Texas A&M University

SI & Tutoring Coordinator (14-15)

As coordinator of the Academic Success Center's Supplemental Instruction & Tutoring programs, I measured our academic impact to create a value proposition for expanding our program and secured funding through partnerships with academic Deans across several schools on campus. We grew to over 65 SI Leaders and helped thousands of students improve their academic performance. Our top performing SI leader (pictured right) earned Student Employee of the Year through my nomination.

Wharton County Junior College

Supplemental Instruction (SI) Coach (12-14)

As the founder of the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program, I learned how to build a program from the ground up. In under two years, the program went from an idea to 5 student SI leaders, and secured funding for continued sustainable growth. The SI program served 450+ students helping to improve academic scores by an entire letter grade.
